Joining the Air Cadets
If you are interested – the following are steps you can take to begin training and participating in 99 Lynx Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
- Attend at 105 Wyandotte Street in Orillia with a parent/guardian and bring your Birth Certificate (or Passport) and Ontario Health Card with you.
- Come to the Orderly Office and ask for information and a Recruit Joining Package from one of the staff officers.
- The Recruit Package will contain all the information you need and forms to fill out. The staff will photo copy your birth certificate and health card for your application file.
- The Recruit Package consists of:
❒ An “Information Letter” from the Commanding Officer to you and your parent/guardian
❒ An “Application for Membership in the Air Cadets”
❒ An “Annual Basic Health Questionnaire”
❒ A “Code of Conduct” for cadets - You are welcome to stay and have a tour of the squadron and meet other cadets or you can go home, complete your applications and return them the next week.
- Bring all your completed forms back to the Orderly Office and hand them to a staff officer.
- If all your forms are complete – Congratulation - you will be assigned to a “Flight” of cadets (a group of cadets your same age who are also recruits and begin your journey.
- Cadets are required to have their health card on their person at all times.
